So how did you all survive losing one hour of sleep this weekend? I have to admit that I had a caffeine fuelled iced cafe mocha drink far too close to my bed time so I hardly slept and before I knew it, it was already 4 am!!! Ah well, I digress...... This week I wanted to share with you a few snaps of the Spring 2014 catalogue for 18KARAT. I just love the simplicity of their pieces. Have a great week!
As some of you may know I don't have much colour in my house when it comes to decor, black and white pretty much sums it up. Committing to colour scares me a little and I guess being an interior photographer for a living, I get my fill of colour in other people's homes. However, for some reason I have this thing for purple, lately ....... I normally hate purple but perhaps I'm getting swayed by the trends and the fact that the Pantone colour of the year is (Radiant Orchid) there's certainly some influence there. This does not mean that I'll be buying purple accessories any time soon but I thought I would do a little post about how pretty various shades of purple can be. I'd love to hear what you think of purple.
Okay, I got caught up a LITTLE bit in adding colour to my kitchen .......
Hello new week! My apologies for not posting ...... I finally had to succumb to work and let go of blogging for a couple of weeks but had a chance to stop and enjoy what was going on around me ..... the gorgeous colours in the trees are amazing!!! Here in Vancouver, we have had the most beautiful weather, a perfect recipe for bright beautiful leaves .
A few of my photos made it into the Province AND the Globe And Mail this past weekend for an article about two lovely Tudor homes on the west side that are slated for demolition. These houses really tug at my heart and hopefully this article will help spread the word about what is happening to our heritage homes.
