What I've been up to ....

Welcome to a new week ...... although I'm slightly late and posting on a Tuesday but no matter. I wasn't sure where to begin with this post because I've been up to a lot of things lately ....... Shooting this lovely backyard for the latest issue of Canadian Gardening Magazine was a nice calm shoot..... Until I met Harley, the cutest little lab pup. How can I not resist getting licks from this sweetheart.

Linen fabric is a favourite of mine so when Ellen Walde from le fil rouge asked me to shoot for her, I just about died and went to heaven. Her products are so beautiful.

Once A Tree showcase series is now featuring Victoria McKenney from Enviable Designs. The inspiration for her "Comfortable Sophistication" is a recent trip to Palm Springs. This room epitomizes the vintage glamour that Palm Springs once was. The pastel yellows and blues are stunning. If you have time, I highly recommend stopping by and paying a visit. It really is an inspiring space.

Sept/Oct BC Home & Gardening Magazine Feature

Featured in the latest BC Home & Garden magazine is a beautiful backyard space I photographed for Designer Susan Parker of Parker House Designs Inc. This amazing space is a perfect collaboration of entertainment and gardening space for homeowner, Marianne, Dobslaw. Being that cooking and puttering in her vegetable garden is her favourite way to wind down at the end of the day, what a great thing it is to reap the rewards a garden can offer up when it comes to entertaining. Marianne knows how to do it up right and entertain her guests into the late evening with a warm fire pit to sit around. ~ Have a fantastic week and if you live in Vancouver, enjoy this ongoing 'bout of sunshine we're having! ~

Tom Hobbs & Brent Beattie's condo featured in Style At Home

I had the pleasure of getting to know Tom Hobbs over the past few years as he owns a magnificent nursery called Southlands that I visit quite frequently. Tom and his partner of 30 years, Brent Beattie own a fabulous condo over looking Van Dusen Gardens which is quite fitting the fact that Tom is a passionate gardener.  Their home in the city boasts the most amazing color palette that includes subdued blues, deep purples and yummy avocado greens.  Tom's sense of humor is reflected throughout the home with whimsical collectables including .... yup, you guessed it, garden gnomes.  If you haven't already picked up a copy of the latest issue of Style At Home, I highly recommend it as there are so many ideas for outdoor living.  Have a fantastic week!
