As some of you may know I don't have much colour in my house when it comes to decor, black and white pretty much sums it up. Committing to colour scares me a little and I guess being an interior photographer for a living, I get my fill of colour in other people's homes. However, for some reason I have this thing for purple, lately ....... I normally hate purple but perhaps I'm getting swayed by the trends and the fact that the Pantone colour of the year is (Radiant Orchid) there's certainly some influence there. This does not mean that I'll be buying purple accessories any time soon but I thought I would do a little post about how pretty various shades of purple can be. I'd love to hear what you think of purple. Macaroons Tracey Ayton Photography

The Kinfolk Table Book

On Friday I met up with Lisa Giroday from Victory Gardens in preparation for the Kinfolk Dinner Event being held at West Elm Market on Monday evening, in which I am really looking forward to attending as a guest and photographer. While there, I picked up a copy of The Kinfolk Table, a stunning book full of recipes that Kinfolk Magazine collected from home cooks all over the world. I had no doubt that this book would be beautiful. As I read through, I immediately dove into a recipe that includes all of my favourite flavours, called: Vanilla, Lavender, and Earl Grey Chocolate Pudding with Sea Salt. OMG! Tracey Ayton Lavender
