A few good things ......

How was everyone's long weekend? Did you take advantage of an extra day to get away? We stayed close to home and spent time with family and worked in the garden. It was nice to be able to sleep in too!!!! Speaking of sleeping, I am so happy to finally see this bedroom get the attention it deserves ...... It is the first space that I shot for Karla Amadatsu from Kerrisdale Design Inc. and is featured in the latest issue of BC Home & Garden. It continues to be a favorite of mine. The colors are stunning and that studded, striped head board, TO DIE FOR! Master Bedroom Tracey Ayton Photography

Pop up store at Le Marche St. George

A few weeks ago I went to visit a pop up store in one of the spaces above Le Marche St.George, a lovely place to visit for a cup of coffee. I just had to buy something ...... ANYTHING!!!...... in order to get a piece of the beauty I snapped up a linen cloth and some pictures of the incredibly beautiful space. Patricia Larsen is a veteran behind the styling and she also makes those lovely clothes. Her daughters Klee and Janaki provide some of the most beautiful art and pottery pieces. Stunning.

Quince Fine Florals

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful long weekend and a fabulous Canada Day! Happy 4th of July to all of you across the border. I finally had a couple of days off and was able to go visit one of my favorite little places to browse: Quince Fine Florals. Jessica Clark is the creative talent behind the bustling store and is kept busy catering to parties, weddings, and all kinds of events..... Especially the regulars that stroll into the store just to boo around and perhaps pick up a bouquet to perk up their day.

Quince is a store that not only carries every flower you can imagine but is also stocked with beautiful linens, dishes, teas, candles and wonderful little "good things" for the home. It was such a pleasure spending some time at Quince and if you are ever in the Dunbar area, I recommend that you go take a boo too. At the end of my visit, I went home with a beautiful bouquet of peonies (my favorite flower) Thanks Jessica !!!

What is your favorite flower?

I do hope you enjoy the photos as much as I had taking them. Have a wonderful week!!
