Sydney Carlaw Purity Designs featured in Style At Home

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Here in Vancouver we had a ton of rain so it gave me a chance to stay in and get those pesky tasks I had to do on the computer, done. As mentioned in my last week's post, I had the pleasure of getting to know Sydney Carlaw of Purity Designs by shooting her beautiful home, which is featured in the June issue of Style At Home Magazine.  Darci Ilich from The Cross Decor & Design put her magic to work and helped style this beautiful space.  Here are a few snaps.  Thanks for the fun ladies!!!

Style At Home 100 + Designer Secrets Issue "Jason Crosby's Condo"

Shooting this condo for Gaile Guevara was such a pleasure and you can see it in the latest Style At Home's 100 + Designer Secrets special issue.  It was a complete "gut job" in a dated condo and with Gaile's sense of style and her keen eye for details the result was spectacular.  The fact that the home has an amazing view of the ocean, Gaile used several watery blue hues throughout and included three fabulous paintings by the extremely talented artist, Zoe Pawlak.  The dog bowls are the cutest thing ever and in the kitchen a punch of blue from the pot put me over the edge.  Jason and his dog, Griffin are now very content with their beautiful new and cozy space whilst looking down at their amazing view of the ocean.  After the shoot, we enjoyed a glass ..... okay maybe a few glasses of wine but don't those beers in that lit up cooler look refreshing? ~ Enjoy.

Little things to make you smile

Front Foyer Tracey Ayton Photography I'm just popping in to show you a home that is featured in the latest BC Home & Garden magazine, it's a home that I have admired for a very long time.  For close to 10 years, I have walked past it, while taking the dog to a nearby park and always wondered what it looked like inside..... well, one day my curiosity got the best of me and I found myself knocking on the front door.  I was so relieved when it turned out I have known this owner for quite awhile!!!  YEARS ago, I worked in a photo lab and I remember Shelley always coming in to drop off her rolls of film as she was always so genuinely sweet.  Her personality is fun, lighthearted and young spirited AND so is her home.  As I walked through, I noticed, EVERYWHERE, these cute little vignettes that are scattered throughout.  Every time I spotted one, I smiled.  Here are some of my favorites.

Thank you to The Ferris Family for inviting me into your home.
