Featured in: Style At Home Magazine

I hope you had a wonderful long weekend. Now that the kids are in school, the weather gets cooler and the leaves begin to fall ..... we begin the tradition of preparing for autumn, I love this time of year and welcome it. This week I wanted to feature a space that I shot with my really good friend and client, Karla Amadatsu of Kerrisdale Design ,for the current issue of Style At Home Magazine. When I photograph Karla's spaces, it is a true honour ... not only are the spaces just plain gorgeous but they never cease to inspire me. The inky blues, beachy, yet modern feel of this particular space was truly the "bee's knees" for me. I wish I could invite you over to this house for dinner just so that you could see it in person but I don't live there so for now, here are a whole wack of pictures to show how beautiful this space is. Enjoy and have a great short week.

Little things to make you smile

Front Foyer Tracey Ayton Photography I'm just popping in to show you a home that is featured in the latest BC Home & Garden magazine, it's a home that I have admired for a very long time.  For close to 10 years, I have walked past it, while taking the dog to a nearby park and always wondered what it looked like inside..... well, one day my curiosity got the best of me and I found myself knocking on the front door.  I was so relieved when it turned out I have known this owner for quite awhile!!!  YEARS ago, I worked in a photo lab and I remember Shelley always coming in to drop off her rolls of film as she was always so genuinely sweet.  Her personality is fun, lighthearted and young spirited AND so is her home.  As I walked through, I noticed, EVERYWHERE, these cute little vignettes that are scattered throughout.  Every time I spotted one, I smiled.  Here are some of my favorites.

Thank you to The Ferris Family for inviting me into your home.

Livingspace in House & Home

I recently did a shoot for Canadian House & Home featuring Livingspace for The Style Files in their current Feburary issue. An incredible 20,000-square-foot space located in "The Armoury district", the once bakery, then printing press building was recently renovated with help from local architect Omer Arbel. No words can describe how stunning this high end furniture store really is. If you get a chance, go visit..... there's nothing else quite like it! I met Livingspace owner, Ross Bonetti at the IDS Show last fall and gave him a hard time as to when Livingspace would be open and ready ..... It seemed like FOREVER to finally open it's doors but when Livingspace was open to the public, you knew it was worth the wait.

The highlight of my day?? Ross casually baked up a quick batch of pastries in one of the three stunning Arclinea kitchens for his staff and myself to enjoy.

Kiley, Ross's sidekick, checking me out from the Omer Arbel designed, crazy, crooked, floating, exterior staircase of the building. Have a fabulous week everyone!
