Unexpected Summer Treats

Wasn't  this weekend AMAZING?  The sun was out and so was I.   What's a better way to spend time outdoors than with a few little unexpected treats to cool us down? The first is a Ginger & Lemongrass Iced Green Tea recipe that I found in an old Style At Home issue from July/2009.  This is how I want my ice tea made from now on!

Another fun thing to do with just simple pieces of water melon is to soak each piece into tequila, sprinkle some rock salt on, squeeze some lime juice all over and there you have it ~ fun, right?

Or what about this combination of cucumbers and jalapeño peppers in a popsicle?  ..... I found this recipe on The Black Peppercorn

I don't know about you but I am finding this weather to be a tad annoying. One minute the sun is shining and I've got my shorts on ready and willing to bare my white legs and the next thing you know it's friggin raining. Here is a recipe I got from my Barefoot Contessa book for a tastey drinkin hopes the sun will stay. BRING IT ON!!!!!

My mint plant is growing like crazy .......

What else do you do but make some mojitos ....... with a twist.
